Kind of in response to your discussion on the roundtable last night. I know there’s a lot of scepticism regarding the hall of fame these days, but to me it’s still my favourite wwe event to attend. Goldberg Jeff jarrett the Dudley boyz these people were my heroes growing up, and I think the reason why I enjoy this event so much is because I get to appreciate and say thank you to my heroes not just as wrestlers but as human beings. My take on the hof is this. If you were brave enough to put your body on the line in a wwe ring or contributed in someway to the business for a number of years then you deserve your moment on that stage.

That opening segment was painful. John talked about the WWE being tone deaf on the Sunday Round Table and they exhibited that again. In 2018, it seems 90% of Americans either unquestionably defend police officers with “Blue Lives Matter” rhetoric or fear that if anybody (especially people of colour) so much as look at a cop, they’ll get shot. So the WWE books their choice for top babyface to beat up three ridiculously dressed “US Marshalls”. Why? Because Steve Austin did it 20 years ago? And then Lesnar comes down and beats him up. Lesnar got some boos, but Reigns’s savage beating elicited little more than a “You deserve it” chants.
This has Vince’s fingertips all over it and Vince is really shitty storyteller.
Questions:
A) Some on Twitter made conclusions about Lesnar’s future career plans based on perceived changes in his bodyshape. Do you have any thoughts on this?
B) Why didn’t the WWE make the Ultimate Deletion a Network special? It appeals mostly to hardcore fans who are likelier to subscribe, it can drive traffic to the network, and you don’t have to make 16,000 fans sit in an arena and watch it on a big screen. It seems obvious to me. Why do you think they stuck it on Raw?

The show started with the top babyface beating the crap out of three federal law enforcement officers. What the fuck was this? The US Marshal’s deal almost exclusively with escaped fugitives, nowhere in their mission statement does it say anything about wrestling events.
Did the “do something” chant during the Cena promo slowly turn into a “Rusev Day” chant? That might have been one of the best subtly funny things on Raw in months.
Ronda Rousey: “…so I decided that I’m going to talk a lot of shit and break a lot of arms and at the end of the day I can at least feed my dog.” That right there is more character development than anyone else has had in the entire roster in that one sentence alone. The Rousey video package was perfect.
Speaking of perfect, the Ultimate Deletion was exactly what I wanted and more. I could write a book on it, but ill just leave it at, its the best thing I’ve seen on Raw in years.
I don’t know how the casual viewer would feel, but The Ultimate Deletion was probably the most entertained I’ve been watching Raw in a VERY long time. The very fact that it was on WWE TV at all was amazing! While I’m sure the fans in the arena probably weren’t fans of watching the main event on the TitanTron, this segment actually raised my opinion of the show as a whole.
The addition of Kane has caused me to lose all interest in Undertaker/Cena, since it is yet another example of this Wrestlemania story being dragged out. I was also annoyed at the suggestion that Sasha and Bailey would just be in the Women’s Battle Royale, instead of a match with each other.
Shit that’s what we were given tonight pure and utter shit a big steaming bowl of it, except the Deletion segment it wasn’t perfect because they didn’t WWE produce it all up and allowed some creativity which is more than I can say for the rest of the show. The best part of the night was Michael Cole apologizing in advance for the Deletion segment, he should have apologized for the last 2 hours and 50 minutes. This show reminded me of an old school Thunder episode, which will you guys start reviewing those please. Also not to continue ripping on this show but do you think they could have gotten more heat and milked the situation better if Brock Lesnar never showed up until WrestleMania. They could of made the whole night at WrestleMania guessing if he would show. I feel it would have been way better than that terrible predictable and dated segment tonight with Reigns.

I thought this was a very solid edition of Raw. I was hoping for no physicality between Reigns & Lesnar, but I enjoyed the one sided beat down and am looking forward to Reigns revenge. Keeping Strowmans partner a mystery is a good idea and I hope they hold it off all the way until Wrestlemania. The Rousey video was excellent, this is how they should be building characters with some of these superstars. Ultimate Deletion wasnt as good as in Impact, but I thought it was a job well done from the WWE and a definite step up from the House of Horrors. It looks like Bray Wyatt has been killed off, I’m interested where they go with him from here.
Jochy (HO CHI for John;)) in Chicago.
The Ultimate Deletion was everytging i hoped for. Now Matt has introduced all his devices into WWE and hopefully we can get more versions of it going foward. Huge pop seeing Senior Benjamin hiding under Skarsgaard. Did Jeremy Borash have any involvement?
As for the rest of the show… Dallas was a dead crowd, only woke up for Cena and Lesnar. Guess we wont see Taker til day of Mania. Excellent Rousey package. Crazy thats the first time shes adressed the Nunes loss.
What do u think of how wrestling fans have accepted her so far?

Decent RAW tonight. Hopefully Heyman admits that he hired fake US Marshals to trap Roman for the big beatdown. Otherwise Roman should be headed to prison.
Nia and Alexa is probably my favorite program headed in to Mania. The story is so REAL and Alexa has so much heat. Do you think Mean Girl Alexa could be the device for a post Mania Bayley heel turn?
I was really hoping Braun would win the tag titles by himself, just to make his legend grow. Hopefully his partner can elevate him even more.
Ultimate Deletion was fantastic, but my wife thought it was ridiculous and didn’t care for it.

This episode of Raw had several strong points and a few lows as well but overall a really good show. The Ultimate Deletion was about as good as I would have hoped it would be in a WWE setting. It seemed like they gave Matt enough freedom to be ultra creative while still keeping a more wrestling-type feel to it at the same time. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hopefully Bray comes back with a new character and gets a chance to showcase his in ring ability without a crazy gimmick. Also LOVED the Rousey-Angle video package. Best thing they have done with Ronda to build her up and also shows her ability to get back up when she falls. The line about thinking “God hated her” was as real as it gets.
Overall I give this show 8 dilapidated boats out of 10.
CHAIR OF WHEELS!
Ultimate Deletion was everything I wanted and just as insane and crazy as it ever was on TNA. My only two notes on it are: 1. Where does Michael Cole get off acting like he’s too cool for school introducing the ultimate deletion and 2. Just what the heck do you think is going through Vince’s mind when he sees this thing on his flagship show.
Other stuff happened on RAW but this just left a big goofy smile on my face.
Haven’t watched a Raw in months and I rely on your reviews for all things WWE but tuned in just to see how the show went building to the Hardy segment. Somehow they found a way to make it less interesting than the Impact Deletions. No surprises guests, no shooting fireworks at each other, no twists involving the Lake of reincarnation, just Bray enjoying his cabin and a campy graveyard scene that was cringe worthy. I hate Michael Cole and questioned his apology before it began, but after it went off the air, I realized that was probably the first thing he’s said in 15 years that wasn’t being yelled through his headset and was straight from his heart. Lots of people said just imagine this if the WWE did this instead of Impact 18 months ago, well you could’ve fooled me, it didn’t seem any different or better.
For the rest of Raw, Braun seemed to have a partner already which is intriguing but I assume it’ll be Jericho, when really he should be Shane’s partner. This whole Cena /Undertaker build is terrible. One minute Cena is praising Taker for being a legend and the next he looks dejected calling Taker a coward for not accepting. He’s bashing Taker the way Roman did Lesnar 2-3 weeks ago for him not being at the show. It’s so bad. I voted a 6, but most the time I was just wishing the NJPW Cup finals were Monday so I could’ve watched instead. Not to mention Balor and Rollins going after the IC belt just feels like a stretch.
Lastly, I love how the WWE gives a great video to Ronda on her life story, yet they never have these videos for any of their current talent working 5 nights a week.
Andrew from Saint John
I was worried that they would just play the Broken Hardy hits, but the Ultimate Deletion delivered. The sped up shots with Bray had me laughing my ass off. Will the Bludgeon Brothers find Husky Harris lost in the woods during their next promo?
Steve from BC
Raw tonight was a vast improvement over last weeks edition. I thought the Roman/Brock angle was great and it seems that at least in some cities they are accomplishing their goal of getting Brock booed. Alexa was great on the mic again tonight and showed again why she may be the best female talker right now. Cena’s promo was a vast improvement over last week but I don’t know if the Kane involvement was really necessary. The Ultimate Deletion was fun but I wonder if Vince was happy with it seeing as how we got a pre-segment apology from Michael Cole. It will be interesting to see if they do more of these or if Vince decides to pull the plug. But the thing that stood out for me the most was the great video package for Ronda Rousey. Not for it being amazing, which it was, but it just hit me that it’s such a simple concept to help get these characters over. I learned more about Ronda in 3 minutes than I have about Bayley in the year and a half she’s been on the main roster. Nitpicks aside though this was a solid edition of Raw.

Raw was really good , at least a 8/10
I’m probably sure your gonna talk about the deletion angle , I wanted your thought on how it was different from the previous incarnation in tna . I just watch Wwe so I have zero knowledge of it and when I YouTube it I think it’s dumb as hell but tonight I laugh so hard I woke up my 5 month old
I think everybody in the comments gave their thoughts on the big angles on the show I wanted to ask you about Sonia deville ( Daria berenato ) I really loved her in nxt , her look , her offense and I think she would’ve have a good run but now with Shayna and rowdy do you think she will get anywhere in the women division
Sorry for my English
Thx for up next

Got to see the show live tonight (for my birthday)!
Loved the preshow. Luchas deserve actual screen time - they’re always a delight . First fight: Reigns - I’m a babyface and I can fight!!! US Marshals - I. DONT. CARE. Nonsense ensues and Reigns is taken out on a stretcher in handcuffs. Enter Lesnar [sans Haymen ]. A few suplexes later and we’re officially pumped for their match.
Loved Alexa Bliss as everyman’s bitchy cheerleader as she ran away from Asuka into the arms of a pissed of Nia. Which felt like a let down for Asuka fans everywhere… but a promising turn for the capable heel and hopeful for Nia Jax pushers. A bit disappointed in the Cena/Taker bit - Cena and Taker … erm I mean Cena. Just Cena… and a somewhat dismayed crowd. Bailey and Sasha - I want to care. We all want to care.
Stroman - FIND ELLSWORTH. Any man with these hands… it just writes itself
The Hardys and WWE took the Ultimate Deletion to heart - as the live crowd saw nothing of the broken duo. However in lieu of the ultimate deletion we were treated to seeing Rousey get physical with Dana Brooks and triumphantly head backstage - though adorably forgetting just where the door was.

An above average episode of RAW. I felt the Brock Lesnar beatdown of Roman went a bit too long. I’m sick and tired of Sasha and Bailey vs Absolution. They’ve being going at it for almost a month now. Hopefully there’ll be some new matchups in the women’s division post ‘Brand Split’. The Ultimate deletion was a huge success in my opinion. Loved the dark setting of the Hardy Compound. The camera work was remarkable too. Hats off to WWE and Matt Hardy. What do you think Matt and Bray will be doing at Wrestlemania?
Cheers.
