I think Jay briscoe is a patron because he did his best impression of red skull from your review today. Crazy main event tho so many crazy spots.

Jalen from Pickering,

Good show. Ladder war was as good as expected, and now I wish the tag title match on Sunday was gonna be one too.
ROH title match was just plain weird to me though. Cody heeled on the crowd, but Lethal was also doing some heelish stuff too, and the match felt overbooked between the finisher kickouts and interference. Which the audience didn’t seem as into as they should’ve been.
Hopefully ROH uses this year to effectively develop their own stars, and get more creative again. Also some of the themes are atrocious, Briscoes and Lethal need their old themes back.

I really enjoyed this event on the whole, from “Cobb v Page” to “Lethal v Cody” to my match of the night “Taven v Castle”. The whole event seemed to go together without a hitch, until the Main Event.

Oh don’t get me wrong that match was what a Ladder War should be but the camera missed so many of the big sports to the finish where one of the belts was retrieved but bell wouldn’t ring until after the second belt was also retrieved.

In the aftermath I can’t help but worry about the uncertain future of ROH’s top talent. (Cody, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Hangman Adam Page, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, & Scorpio Sky).

Lastly, did Flip Gorgon placing his national flag on a table soaked in lighter fluid seem weird to anyone else or was it just me?

I posted some mid show notes from the show in the results thread. Overall terrific card and some stellar showings.

Saber Jr and Greshem was terrific. Hopefully not overshadowed by the rest of the card. Same with Hangman vs Cobb. Those two matches were unreal mid card showcases.

The fact they got two really strong nearfalls out of the Cody match was strong. The crowd felt like it wanted to cheer Cody and I don’t like Cody plays heel everywhere. The match had some interesting moments and for the most part every match felt unique and different.

The Briscoes bloodbath was something. The crowd was hot for the entire match and there was a lot of new (or old) Bucks spots. Kaz was busted open early and really did well to be part of the match. He looked out of it at times.

The show closed with a Bucks speech. They leaned in to All Elite being a thing and said SCU belongs in the ring with The Elite as much as they do. Thanked a lot of people and the crowd hung on every word. Not sure what was on TV but it did happen before 12 so wondering if it was aired.

Final Battle delivered. I’m probably forgetting something. I had been down on the Non Elite roster but Taven feels like he’s going to have a huge 2019 and Cobb Greshem and Dalton all stood out as real players in the company. I walk away enthusiastic for MSG and look forward to seeing how those guys are used as I expect it to be a ROH dominant show.

I am always interested in crowd and whatnot and it’s amzkng how every member of the audience has Elite/Bullet Club shirts. And for what’s its worth a bunch of Firing Squad and Switch blade shirts so it looks like the phase isn’t completely dead.

I have the full Bucks Speach on video I just need to figure out how to post it to YouTube to share, if it wasn’t on the show.

The speech wasn’t on the show as far as I can tell. You figured out Youtube before, I’m sure you can do it again.

A little late due to my phone crashing while uploading from a bar last night…but here’s the video. Was sitting back of the floor so jumped up on a chair which nobody seemed to care about. Sorry for shakes or bad sound at times

You know you are over when the crowd is singing your entrance song. The crowd was loud / I was taken back by it live. Cody is such a babyface to the Wrestling fan. He needs to cease being booked to wrestle heel whatever he does next. The fans want to love this guy for paving a way to something different. My wrestler of the year for the impact and stories he’s had this year. Maybe bias but he’s earned that from me.
