I can’t say I had Roman Reigns taking the pin on my Crown Jewel bingo card today. I’m interested to see if getting pinned by Solo humbles the Roman Reigns character moving forward. With Sami showing up at the end, it’s fairly obvious where we’re heading for Survivor Series, the journey should be fun.
The women’s Crown Jewel title match seemed clunky. Having two heels in it didn’t help.
Some may be disappointed to see Gunther lose the men’s Crown Jewel title match, but the rare Gunther loss further establishes his arrogance as his flaw. The broadcast really pushed Gunther wanting to make Cody pass out from the sleeper hold. The sudden pin also doesn’t really hurt Gunther, in my opinion.
Who is footing the bill for these rings if they are actually what they say they are? Certainly doesn’t seem like cost synergy.
These Saudi Arabia shows are what they are. It was fine, but these shows always seem to feel like they are missing something.
Thought this was a decent show. I can’t say the first four matches particularly took me but I didn’t think they were awful either. The Kevin Owens-Randy Orton angle was good for what it was, but I hope Owens eventually gets a win over Orton. The US three-way was very good.
The main event, however, was outstanding and a nice chapter between these two which left me wanting more. Imo, it further cements Cody is as the clear front runner for Flair/Thesz this year when you couple his success at the box office with excellent performances in the ring and on the mic. Which direction are you guys leaning atm?
