Rewind-A-Raw begins at 10:05 p.m. ET with John Pollock and Wai Ting
Mixed episode of RAW. After last week’s highs, I didn’t enjoy the show nearly as much. A lot of the colder acts got more screen time than I liked. I like the addition of Priest to the three-way. Gunther stacking Priest and Balor, ala Reigns at Mania 37, would be a good way for him to overcome his crisis of confidence. Loved the New Day segment and Punk’s sitdown interview.
However, I didn’t particularly care for Seth Freakin’s long promo. I feel like forcing Punk back into this outsider role after a year where Punk’s been carrying himself as the company mascot is an awkward fit. I’m also not eager for Punk to do another feud centered around a backstage beef from a previous life. The Drew feud was the best of this variety and I’d like to see him do something with Gunther where he has to reckon with his own mortality.
