I think if this show had taken place any other week, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. It wasnt bad at all, but I was expecting more from the “season premiere”.
There were way too many rematches. Rusev looks like the biggest idiot in the company. He’s a vicious heel for 2 weeks, randomly makes a face turn and now is involved in the 2nd cuckold storyline on the show. I guess we know that Interracial is #2 on Paul Heymans pornhub search now too. Why the hell did this guy just stand there, while Bobby Lashley was practically manhandling his wife?
Why was Rey Mysterio perfectly fine after getting destroyed with 3 F-5’s? What was the point in building a big title match like Rollins/Mysterio, only to sacrifice it to this angle? Mysterio should have been wheeled out on a stretcher right next to his son after that beating.
Terribly booked show. 3 pornhub searches out of 10 and that mark is only for Flair & The Fiend.

Hogan gets booed in San Francisco, cheered in Arizona. As an American, this doesn’t surprise me in the least. I can’t say this didn’t work. I enjoyed him and Flair. Ric is out of his mind, but I really enjoy him. Totally thought the Fiend was going to waste both of them. Dio is green, but good. Vic Joseph is terrific… Lawler didn’t annoy me as much as I thought he would, but I still think this is a miscast. Seems like he botched bringing up Becky as it felt like the commentators were supposed to be surprised by her presence. Glad to see Rusev getting some kind of decent booking (Wrote this before the Main Event) Lacey Evans outside of the ring is great, Lacey Evans inside of the ring not so great. hope you gentlemen don’t enjoy sunshine, because with this schedule, neither of you will be seeing any of it. this show was pretty manic.
Real question, do we see Rey/Dominic screw Lesnar over on Friday?
First time watching RAW live in a long time. Jerry Lawler and I both have that in common. I hope Ric Flair gets the mic every week leading up to the 5 versus 5 match. Long live the Nature Boy. The new set looks very cool, I like Vic Joseph, and Rusev looks great. Very excited for The Rocks appearance on Friday.
9/10

What an awful closing segment, just uncomfortably bad
When you get past the fancy graphics, pyro and stage, it’s still the same old monday night raw, Cedric vs AJ was good but I cant wait to see how they explain the inevitable when cedric gets another title opportunity. But aside from the opening segment and miz TV, this felt like a repeat of a show I’ve seen a bunch of times in a row. Anyway I’m really excited for AEW on TSN, HUGE opportunity for aew to gain canadian viewers without having the competition of nxt live on Wednesday nights. 5/10 show tonight
Hi guys, first time leaving feedback. I was really looking forward to raw today and it really disappointed. Rey being taken out sucked especially with it being built up to so much. Rusev looks like a fool. Only saving grace on the show was Styles v Alexander. 5/10 thanks for always making great content guys!

What did I just watch? That was beautiful absurdity from start to finish.
Pyro and effects make the stars feel like stars and Raw without Corey Graves was a delight. No Cole was refreshing as well. Their schtick was not missed and therefore the show felt different, which I think was the point.
Cole hammers home the same selling points as nauseum - none of that was missed tonight and I didn’t feel the promotional spots were lacking.
No way Flair was sober. That segment was a train wreck and I loved it. Best those guys could have done present day. It’s a joke to me they are out there so watching a car crash is Just fine.
Finally, Why did we watch Lashley and Lana make out for that long. So long that you realize how dumb this stuff is…And then they were interrupted by the Fiend who attacked on the outside leaving a sad Rusev all alone in the dark. What a sad Rusev Day

The “less is more” aesthetic and the “bigger is better” aesthetic colliding to create the new RAW set is probably the most interesting thing about this week’s show.
It’s a bummer because I’ve been enjoying this show lately and they really overthought pretty much everything.
Five out of ten.
I don’t remember which of you said it, but you were right. AC/DC for a Raw theme song just isn’t working. I’m sick of it already.
On the plus side for tonight, my non-fan roommate watched the first hour with me and absolutely loved the Rey/Dominic stuff. By the end of hour 1 he was regretting declining a ticket to Smackdown this Friday. I thankfully am wiser than he and will be there.
For the first 90 minutes or so I felt the show was doing a great job of keeping my attention, making me want to stick through the commercial. Things felt more urgent and better paced.
The last half of the show seemed to fall off an excitement cliff. The main event left me annoyed but not with the WWE. They left me annoyed at myself for not anticipating something like this on the season god damn premiere. But or well, onto Friday for me.
Is it too early if Rey shows up on Friday to somehow screw Brock, or do you think they’ll hold that off for the draft and they both show up on SD, Rey as Brock’s first challenger.
Chris from Pennsylvania,
Not really sure what to make of tonight’s show, but I think we’ll have a better idea after Smackdown on Friday. In addition to the brand split, there may be a philosophical split between the two, where Raw is the show with the Firely Funhouse and cheating wives, and Smackdown is the more reality-based show. We’ll see how it all plays out in the weeks to come. 6/10 tonight, not a great show, but I certainly wasn’t bored.

In my oppinion this commentary team made a 3-hour RAW even more of a struggle then normal.
Honestly Vic Joseph was the only glimmer of hope from the broadcast team tonight. As for the new guy, deano was it, he was utterly useless and should be replaced with Philips or Saxton ASAP.
The confusing booking of Seth having a championship match with Rey cancelled, followed by a match with Randy not starting, and a championship match with Rusev ending in a no-contest I guess as it went off the air with the bell not ringing. Is he injured going into Hell with the Cell?
Also when did Ric Flair win a 17th World Championship according to WWE, because earlier this year during he’s 70th Birthday on RAW he was a 16 time World Champion.
2 outta 10.
AEW Question:
Do you think they will use the dark segment after their main events to film upcoming Being The Elite in front of the crowd?
Jay from Colorado
Just call me short and sweet Jay, cause that’s how I’m playing this feedback tonight.
As a person who works in the Cannabis industry, the Street Profits “we want the smoke” catchphrase is the cringiest thing I’ve seen on the WWE this week. Also as a parent, I wouldn’t want my kid emulating that.
AJ Styles not having pyro is a war crime.
I was happy to see some pyro return though. Other than that all I have to say is there wasn’t a single thing that would get me to tune in next week if I was a new or returning fan.
Sorry that wasn’t short and sweet.
Love always, Kay from Kolorado
Jalen from Pickering,
What a sophisticated product

Good evening Wai and Jonny
Raw was mad weird, from the vert ramp Jumbotron to the return of Lana to the re-enactment of Lethal Lockdown in Ramada, Saudi Arabia. They tried to have you have something to talk about at the water cooler Tuesday morning and boy oh boy it delivered. Wonder what Tuesday will bring and also Friday. Pro wresting is a crucibal god speed to you guys
-Jon thoughts on Mark O Madsen and do you think like me he is title worthy in a year and change
-thoughts on Gordon Ryan submitting the world at the ADCC this weekend pretty impressive feat
I’m out peace
A very okay show.
Good start. Just a little confusing as to how Rey could figure into the Brock & Kofi plans (if at all).
Awkward Hogan/Flair segment. It still feels kind of gross to see Hogan back in the lovable legend role.
The Sasha/Alexa match was fun. Becky is always entertaining.
Some decent-to-good tag team matches on the show always help but it would be nice to see them paired up a little differently every now and again. Plus, it would be nice for the OC to get an occasional win on television.
By far, the biggest let down of the show was the Lana reveal. What a horrible way to reintroduce a character like Rusev. It’s exactly what he didn’t need while having a good main event title match. The whole make-out session totally took all the momentum out of the Fiend attack at the end. Also, do we really need ANOTHER storyline where a guy’s wife is sleeping around with other ppl on the roster?
At least Bray Wyatt continues to be impressive, despite the weird show he was weaved into.
5 out of 10.

The opening segment was awesome. Dominic can bump! The end of the show was lackluster and very attitude era. I’m not a fan of the commentary but I guess we will see. Have you heard anything about Adam Cole being injured?
Really wierd to see a couple of great matches on raw. Richochet and alexander are amazing athletes. I may be in the minority but I’m so sick of brock. Why should I be impressed that he beat up a high school kid? A make out session is more important than a championship match? Rusev looked good saving seth. Not so good by the end. Guess he was punished for taking a hiatus. (As usual) Yeah. Cant wait for aew.

I watched Raw Live for the first time in 18 months to 2 years. It was a great and wacky Raw to come back to. From Lesnar dominating Dominick and Rey to Lashley and Lana’s odd return, I certainly wasn’t bored except for the Natalya and Lacey match. This week might renew my interest in watching the WWE product more and give it another chance to grab me. But I feel AEW and NJPW will bring me right back to reality, maybe. 7/10 for me.
Any update on AEW in Australia?
Thanks guys and can’t wait to meet you in Tokyo!
God I hope so. Those were the best and made me want to attend ROH shows as they felt so fun
Since Wai was asking,
Here is a translation of what Akam said. I don’t speak Albanian, so what Rezar said, I can’t attest to. I don’t really speak Punjabi either, but I can understand most of it.
Akam - We both grew up 1000 miles apart, far from each other on dangerous streets where we learnt, the guy who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.
The sword is a metaphor for violence
Rezar - Speaks Albanian
Akam - He who is Violence, would only become an Author of Pain.
Essentially the Punjabi part is accurate, but as Wai said, they do take liberty using words like Dystopia and Atrocity in place of dangerous.
EDIT : the closest word I could find to Dystopia is the hindi phrase “Tabaah Desh”, which translates to Ruined/Destroyed State(Country to be more precise).
