Jermaine from Chicago. Smackdown is three hours now, wow that’s a lot of promos and skits. This show was better than last week. Did you guys find the logic gap in that street profits attacked the Garza’s and the garzas wrestle a whole match and didn’t say they didn’t attack them one time? I like what they did with Chelsea green and listening to you guys, yes Canadians don’t lie. My question with green still fighting Mia yim and Cody still seems to be fighting Kevin Owens does hunter stick with these same programs too long? He will have someone go over clean as a sheet and still continue a program. Is penta doa if he doesn’t come with a manager? Thanks for the always thoughtful views

A pretty solid edition of the final 2 hour smackdown.
I’m hoping andrade vs nakamura get plenty of time to put on a great match next week.
With the ladder match announced for the rumble do you see either competitor working a match at the next saturday night’s main event? Can they keep the audience’s hype up for the match until February?
I’m very excited about Kate and Wai covering the people vs GCW. Wai will you be watching any of the shows leading up to hammerstein or just that show? To finish off gcw posted an amazing video on sidney akeem to their Instagram page, i really wish wwe would have capitalized on his background and upbringing the way they did in that video. As someone who grew up around cholos and gangsters I kind of relate to it.
Brian in New Jersey.
First of all, farewell Rampage. I was there for it last Sunday.
Also farewell to any semblance of good pacing on Smackdown. I’m a little more doubtful when they add the third hour. Better episode this week than last week. A little more excitement to things, such as the latest cash-in tease from Tiffany Stratton, Braun Strowman getting involved with Solo’s Bloodline, and the heat between Cody and Owens heading into their match. B-Fab’s running pump kick, and everything from Chelsea Green were also highlights for me.
Speaking of highlights, thanks for the Christmas Show. Frothy New Year.
Hey guys I don’t have too many thoughts to share on Smackdown, but I thought I’d share a few interesting notes I found when I was bored the other night using the search feature on Netflix in Canada.
I found that you can search the name of almost any WWE PPV you can think of and it has a listing of “Seasons Coming Wednesday”. This even includes older shows that aren’t used anymore like In Your House, Unforgiven, No Way Out, etc. Even 1 off shows like Capital Punishment and Capital Carnage are listed. (No listing for Great Balls of Fire though).
I found nothing when I searched ECW, WCW, or any of the older WWE TV shows like Superstars. So I think that speaks to the depth of the library.
Also on a side note it was brought to my attention on Reddit via screenshot that Sportsnet360 has a listing on Wednesday January 1st for TNA Hard to Kill 2024 at 6PM on Rogers/Shaw cable in BC. As I live here also, I checked my box on Telus cable and the listing reads TNA Classics at 5PM.
Anyways I hope you and your families had a great holiday. Keep up the great work!
Let’s pour one out for the final two hour Smackdown. With all the speculation they are going to load up Raw for Netflix, who is going to be the anchor talent for this expanding show? I think we’ve had one official transfer in Braun Strowman, not quite the flurry of moves so far.
Maybe they have talent cross over shows during Wrestlemania season with the goal to sort out the rosters by May. Either way, it’s going to be a lot of wrestling come 2025.
Do you guys have any thoughts on the final Raw on the American USA network since you all won’t be doing a show next Monday? Feels like the end of an era for us in America.
The final two hour smackdown didn’t feel mailed in. The six woman tag was strong. Chelsea Green’s US title run got her first feud (and a long term feud lying in wait in Piper)
It was real smart to hold off on Cody/KO until Indianapolis. It would’ve gotten lost in the shuffle on the Netflix premiere. The ladder match setting is ripe for a Randy Orton return.
The jump to three hours is gonna give the midcard and women’s stuff more to do. YMMV* on the runtime.
*Your mileage may vary.
Happy new year in advance, postmarks
NB: Smackdown will be on YouTube for international viewers next week.
