I very much enjoyed AEW’s 2-hour event tonight.
Pac’s ironman-like performance across both shows was really impressive, though I thought the match he and Trent had deserved a better finish than sneaky hell tactics.
Willow’s entrance is one of my favourites in pro wrestling today…it’s the happiest vibe I’ve gotten from an entrance since Bayley’s NXT Takeover days.
I sure could’ve benefited from a video package about Gates of Agony, and maybe the live crowd would have, as well.
Last, a tough Game 1 loss for the Jays today. When he’s dialed in, Mariners’ pitcher Luis Castillo’s 100-mph two-seam fastball is virtually impossible for a right-hand batter to hit, and the Jays have very few left-handed bats - a weakness that many identified before the season began.
