The field announced for this year’s G1.

Next month, New Japan Pro-Wrestling is kicking off the 2022 G1 Climax tournament. At the Dominion event, it was revealed that 28 wrestlers are competing in this year’s tournament and the likes of Lance Archer, Tom Lawlor, JONAH and El Phantasmo are included in the tourney field.

The G1 kicks off on July 16th and the finals are taking place August 18th at Nippon Budokan.

Was hoping Hiromu could move up to like el phantasma

Of all of the people available, they still have to include Yujiro. Yeesh.

Archer had a great G1 three years ago, but I too was expecting more from AEW. I take it Moxley was taken out of the running once AEW needed him for the title picture. I’m interested in how JONAH and Lawlor will do in this.
