Fox will air a special encore of SmackDown tonight featuring a “special look at WWE Crown Jewel”, which airs head-to-head with AEW Dynamite.

The replay of SmackDown will air directly against AEW Dynamite, which presents a live show from Orlando at 8 p.m. ET on TNT before returning to their regular Wednesday night slot this week.

The slot was originally earmarked for the MLB playoffs but the series between Houston and Boston ended on Friday night.

From the WWE description for tonight’s replay:

Brock Lesnar may have been indefinitely suspended by WWE Official Adam Pearce, but you’ll get a second chance to witness The Beast’s rampage on Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Bloodline when FOX airs an encore presentation of SmackDown with a special look at WWE Crown Jewel tonight at 8/7 C.

WWE Crown Jewel featured a brutal and controversial showdown between Reigns and Lesnar, as well as a shocking Hell in a Cell Match between Edge and Seth Rollins, and a historic Triple Threat Match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. It’s a special look at an event you don’t want to miss.

“The Beast’s rampage”. How petty!

This is a good idea. CJ was a great PPV and for anyone who missed it you can see some highlights. Not sure about how much it hurts AEW (probably not much)

FS1/FS2 has been running Smackdown replays on Saturday nights since the move to Fox.
