Friday Night SmackDown’s viewership returned to its normal range this week, based on the overnight figures or the show from Buffalo, New York.
The overnights saw the program average 2,453,000 viewers on Fox, which was a drop of 9% from last week’s big number following Super ShowDown and featuring John Cena’s return.
This week’s show did a 0.7 in the 18-49 demo, which trailed Shark Tank and was even with 20/20 on ABC. SmackDown also did a 0.4 in the 18-34 demo that tied Shark Tank and CBS’ Hawaii Five-O among networking programming.
The final number for SmackDown that reflects the entire country will be out Monday.
In 2020, Friday Night SmackDown was averaging 2,502,000 viewers prior to last night’s show, so they were just below the yearly average. Last week’s number was SmackDown’s highest viewership since October 11th of last year featuring the WWE Draft.
