Shaw added that she stands by what she put out.

In April, there was an altercation at WrestleCon involving Gisele Shaw and Rick Steiner. Shaw shared details of what occurred through a statement she put out on social media. She noted that Steiner referred to her as ‘dude’, ‘filth’ and ‘a piece of trash’.

WrestleCon went on to issue a statement of their own which read that they regret what took place and apologized to Gisele. WrestleCon added that they want to provide a safe environment for all LGBTQAI+ members of the wrestling community.

As Shaw was doing a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, she was asked about the situation but said she does not feel it’s the right time to further speak on it. She stands by her story and the public will hear more when she’s ready to share.

So I feel like I haven’t really made any other statement other than what I posted out there (concerning the incident with Rick Steiner) and I don’t think that it’s the right time to be talking about this unfortunate incident. I do stand by my story and when I’m ready to talk about it, at the right time, at the right place then people will hear about it.

Shaw is coming off of a singles match at IMPACT Wrestling’s Under Siege event against Trinity Fatu. She feels that despite coming up short, the fans are the real winners of the match.

I did, I did (come up short in the match against Trinity Fatu). But you know what? I feel like, did I really lose though if we had a great showing? Right. I feel like everybody really won but most importantly, I feel like the fans won.

Earlier in the signing, Shaw expressed interest in returning to Revolution Pro Wrestling in the UK. She is a two-time holder of the promotion’s Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

I would love to come back to RevPro. So, I mean it just depends on, you know, I guess the scheduling and when Andy (Quildan) maybe wants me to come back. I think it’d be for a good storyline maybe or not just a one-off. We don’t wanna do that.

In the summer of 2022, Gisele shared publicly that she is transgender. She has spoken at length about the conversation that encouraged her to go public and to read her comments, click here
