Giulia reacts to the reports.

Tokyo Sports has been pushing out articles from their yearly interview series with current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Giulia.

In the latest write-up, she was asked about the reports that WWE has interest in her. Giulia stated that she still has things left to do in Japan.

This is the first time I’ve been asked this directly in an interview (reports of WWE having interest in her). What can I say… Giulia has grown up (laughs). But, I still have things to do in Japan.

Following up on that, the interviewer asked does she want to be based overseas in the future. Giulia said her main goal in continuing to wrestle is to make women’s wrestling in Japan a more accessible form of entertainment.

She feels going abroad may be a way to do that, but if one is going to do it, they have to do it right.

You’re going right into it (laughs). Do you know what my main purpose in continuing to wrestle is? It’s to make women’s wrestling in Japan a more accessible form of entertainment. I want more children to watch it, young people and women to watch it. I think all the wrestlers are doing just that.

I sometimes think that going abroad might be one way to achieve that goal… If you are going to do it, you have to do it right. If that happens, I think it will be a big decision.

At STARDOM’s Dream Queendom event, Giulia bested Megan Bayne to retain the STRONG Women’s Championship. Afterwards, her next challenger arose in the form of Trish Adora

The next NJPW STRONG event is Battle in the Valley on January 13th
