Go Shiozaki was in action today at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘Great Voyage’ show in Fukuoka, Japan. He teamed with Kotaro Suzuki, Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura to defeat Katsuhiko Nakajima, Manabu Soya, Masa Kitamiya and Tadasuke.
The victors did a post-match press conference and Shiozaki stated that he is going to be stepping away to have surgery on his right shoulder. Dating back to 2020, Shiozaki’s shoulder has been bothering him. Here’s what he had to say about the forthcoming surgery (quotes courtesy of Dx News):
I will be absent and have surgery, and I will have surgery to fight these two people and to wind GHC.
The muscles holding my shoulders are misaligned and I’m in a jerky state. Surgery is required. That is true, but what kind of surgery will be done will be decided in detail from now on.

The 39-year old Shiozaki lost the GHC Heavyweight Championship to Keiji Muto at NOAH’s ‘Destination’ show in February. Muto successfully defended the title in the main event of ‘Great Voyage’ against Kaito Kiyomiya.
