The situation occurred prior to the most recent Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite on February 15th emanated from Laredo, Texas. Hangman Adam Page was in action on the show and scored a win over Kip Sabian.

Before Page arrived to the venue, he had some trouble at a border checkpoint and he explained more about the situation as he was doing a virtual signing for Highspots Superstore. Page stated that he flew into San Antonio, Texas and then opted to drive into Laredo to avoid multiple flights.

That was a two-and-a-half-hour trip. Hangman added that when he was crossing through the checkpoint, there was someone in the car who is not a U.S. citizen and did not have their passport.

I almost got detained at the border last night too, yeah. I might’ve ended up in Mexico by accident. I still don’t know. I had to go through a border crossing check and someone in the car who is not an American citizen didn’t have their passport… I fly into San Antonio and then drove two-and-a-half hours to Laredo because Laredo would have been three flights and that’s just too many. It’s one too many at least… It doesn’t make sense, I don’t know. You tell me. You’re from Laredo, you tell me how I went through a border crossing without crossing a border, I don’t know. But we did, we almost got detained but, I’m here. I am not in prison in America or Mexico. I’m doing well.

After Hangman’s win over Sabian, he was eventually challenged to a Texas Death match by Jon Moxley for Revolution on March 5th. Page had the following to say about the match during Highspots’ Virtual Gimmick Table show

I’ma beat the f*ck out of Jon Moxley. I know that. We have a Texas Death match, I’m gonna beat the sh*t out of him and he will not stand up at the end of a 10 count.

AEW President Tony Khan stated that he will not be stuffing too much onto the Revolution match card because of the 60-minute Iron Man match between Bryan Danielson and AEW World Champion MJF.
