I don’t think I have heard this mentioned on any shows or seen it written on the site, but I was checking the TTC website for any subway closures this weekend as I’m going to OWE on Saturday and the Post Wrestling Live show on Sunday, and I noticed that on Sunday, Line 1 of the Toronto subway is closed from St. Clair West to King.
That means the subway station closest to Second City, St. Andrew, is going to be closed. Just a heads up on that if you are planning to take the subway downtown. This is probably going to create a lot of headaches for Summerslam as Union is going to be closed too.
There are shuttle buses, but they move slowly. The best way to get to Second City if you were planning on taking the subway in to downtown is go to Spadina Station and take the streetcar south down to King Street.
Getting to Scotiabank Arena is going to be trickier. You might just have to bite the bullet and walk from King Station at Yonge & King streets.
Here’s the link to the closure http://www.ttc.ca/Service_Advisories/Subway_closures/Aug_11_SCW-King.jsp
