It is unknown what the length of the new deal is, with the following portion translated to English from Tokyo Sports:

That’s all from the scene… Ah! wait a minute! This is LINE from Hiromu-chan! “I signed a contract” It’s a contract! Hiromu Takahashi is under contract! That’s all from the scene!

Takahashi, 34, came up through the New Japan Dojo and debuted in 2010. After leaving on an excursion to CMLL, Takahashi gained notoriety wrestling as Kamaitachi for his series of matches with Dragon Lee.

In 2016, he returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling under his real name and joined Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ).

His five reigns as junior heavyweight champion is tied with Koji Kanemoto for fourth on the all-time list behind Jushin Thunder Liger (11), Tiger Mask (6), and KUSHIDA (6).
