Hiroyoshi Tenzan will miss the remainder of the New Year’s Golden Series tour due to a right knee injury.
The issue led to Tenzan missing Tuesday’s event at Korakuen Hall. NJPW has provided the latest update that he will miss the rest of the tour.
Tenzan was scheduled to team on Wednesday’s show with Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi in a six-man tag against Taiji Ishimori, El Phantasmo & Gedo but it was changed to a tag match with Tenzan and Gedo removed.
Tenzan will turn 51 years old next month and is a four-time IWGP heavyweight champion, a 12-time IWGP tag champion, and won the G1 Climax three times between 2003-06.
