Personally, I think Sunday’s card is the best in years and has everything you could want. The star power of the Rousey match, great in ring with IC, woman’s and smackdown title matches, surprises with brauns partner and the potential for huge pops with Daniel Bryan and if Rusev wins that could raise the roof. In the UK, bookmakers let you bet on the matches and it’s very fun watching like a sporting event. The only thing that’s a downer for me is the cena undertaker build.
Beer in the fridge, day off on Monday, 10pm-5am gmt. Can’t wait.
I’m definitely very excited for this years maina. But i’m always excited for maina. WWE does such an amazing job at building up the hype and this is one of the years I think the event will meet the high expectations. I am a little weary about it being seven hours but since i’m not going this year it’s not a big deal. It just means I need to have a few extra beers and bags of chips ready.
The Daniel Bryan announcement is what really sent me over the top though. Before that I was still planning on watching it and expecting it to be a good show. But now I can’t wait to see that match and what DB does in the ring in the same building as WM30. That crowd is going to go insane for him. There is also a ton of intrigue about the match because of the stipulation and if Shane and DB lose or turn on each other.

Also, the prospect of watching a 6 hour show after Masters Sunday is a little daunting. I have a feeling the folks I’ll watch with (casual, big PPV only fans) will want to eject halfway through. It’s a long time!
At least with the Masters on though you can skip the pre-show for the most part. Otherwise it’s probably going to be a good card and I’m sure there will be good matches, but the whole thing is how they book the ends of the matches. Also I can’t get this thought out of my head that since they are playing this undefeated video for Asuka, it wouldn’t surprise me they beat her.
Yes, though I like to catch a lil Pre Show to get the Mania juices flowing…I have a feeling the Masters will not end til around 7:30 which means I will not be starting Mania til 8…gonna be a lonnnngggggg night
At the end of the day two of the three things I love most are happening this weekend: Masters (golf) and Mania (wrestling)…I really cannot complain.
Best card in years. A mixed bag for build. I think the mixed tag and the bryan tag matches were built well. Problem is there are years where the card sucks but the show us good. Other years great card but it sputters out. Very excited.
Wow super high level of excitement! We as a group haven’t rated a show that high all year! I’m with ya, really can’t wait to see how AJ and Nakamura goes and also very pumped to see the following get Mania entrances: Balor Roode Nakamura Asuka
I’m sure it’s going to be a good show, the matches look like quality for the most part, but I can’t get passed how long the show is going to be and how many matches are likely gonna get short-changed on time. I’m not dreading it like I have in previous year but I’m not jumping around with excitement.
So being the Springsteen fanatic I am. Every week when Elias finishes playing his song Cole makes a crazy deep reference to Bruce. Either a unknown song, or a famous bootleg or venue Bruce played back in the day. It’s reached a point I send the Reference of the Week to my family and fellow Bruce friends. It’s the must catch moment of the week
I think everything is setting up wonderfully.
I’m way in the minority (my 75%+ thread!) on the show length as 7 hours is perfect.
Heck I’ve already started watching Round 3 of the Masters @MJfromNJ and @CorSec99 .
I absolutely LOVE watching golf and do not play at all (another way in the minority).
It’s already been a blast that the commentators are still reaching with Tiger and Phil (since they’re 2 of the earliest out on Saturday). Hey, they’re only 15 and 18 shots back right now!! They even looked up who overcame the largest deficit ever! Hopefully Reid and Leishman come back to the pack today to build some drama.
I kinda enjoy I don’t know Braun’s partner or how many nachos Cena will order from his seat.
They certainly could mess all this up (IMO having Braun’s partner as no one, and Taker/Cena trying for a 20 minute match, and say not doing at least something with Sasha/Bayley in the B.R.) but with 14 chances, I’m sure it’ll be enjoyable.
