How the wild card is hurting wwe

Well the WC rule (which is never followed strictly anyway) is pathetic the way it stands now. Why have separate titles for each show if any wrestler and challenge for and defend the title on either show? It’s silly.

What’s that have to do with the list of people not being used?

Someone was acting like it was taking tv time away from a list of people…which it wasn’t because they weren’t being used to begin with.

Well it does result in less time for stars. Rusev, Nakamura, Balor etc

It does take time away from the mid card champs. Now they were screwing the US title for a while anyway, but those titles get less time when the 2 main titles are on every show, every week.

The Good Thing about wrestling in this case WWE is you can always trust on Monday nights there will be a WWE produced wrestling show. Now thats great compared to other shows or even sports they run weekly for only about 6 months or so a year and in the case of shows sometimes re runs in between or in the case of streaming you have to wait a year for 10 to 13 episodes to drop.

Now thats the bed thing as well you have something going on that monday no worries it will be there next week you feeling burned out take a few weeks off.

Both companies USA and FOX both paying lots of money they are going to want there top talent but seeing star x 52 weeks a year vs the same star x 104 times a year wears the fans and creative team burned out. its better to not have your big stars on every week and build it up for when they are on have 2 or 3 stars and rotate them and you can have at least one big name a week. (problem though in this social media gif age hard to make ppl stay tuned in for two hours.)

Wild card is making it worse but to play devils advocate if you think Raw and SD as a team like sports you have visiting players and home players in a sport competing. SO raw is raw superstars barn and SD is SD superstars barn. So maybe if they did limit the wildcard rule made it raw vs sd type theme and you got points or something for your team maybe it could work better.

What about the fact that the wildcard makes Survivor Series no longer the one night a year where raw and smackdown go head to head in direct competition

That really made Survivor Series matter. I mean, sure raw and smackdown were head to head in direct competition on Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Supershow’s, the draft, Bragging Rights, MITB, Night of Champions, Crown Jewel, King of the Ring and Stomping Ground.

But Survivor Series was the one night a year where raw and smackdown go head to head in direct competition

It could work if they did not use the same people every week. But I think the sports analogy that works better is RAW and SD are like the National League and Americans League in MLB. 2 groups of teams that play within their group most of the time. Then the Wild card could be used for Interleague play, something that happens occasionally but not a lot, then Survivor Series would be (in theory) like the all star game where the 2 leagues compete.

Does anyone actually care about survivor series ?
