New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s annual ‘Dominion’ show has been moved from June 6th to June 7th. On that show, the third IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned as Shingo Takagi meets Kazuchika Okada for the vacant title. The second holder of the title, Will Ospreay had to vacate the championship after suffering a neck injury. Okada was scheduled to challenge Ospreay for the title prior to the injury and the postponement of Wrestle Grand Slam at Tokyo Dome.

Adding on to the Dominion lineup is a singles match between Jeff Cobb and Kota Ibushi. In a recent interview with New Japan’s English website, Ibushi stated that he was eyeing a matchup with Cobb. The two talents have shared the ring in tag matches over the last several NJPW events.

El Desperado is defending the Junior Heavyweight Title at Dominion against YOH. This match was originally scheduled for Wrestling Dontaku but was pulled. Desperado recently revealed that he had contracted COVID-19.

The full card will be unveiled at a later date and as the card rolls out, POST Wrestling will provide updates as they come.

So Okada wins and the Shingo G1 redemption story is our WK arc? Running out of any other stories it can be, I guess.
