Jeff Cobb will not be a part of NJPW’s Golden Series tour.

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently resumed their Golden Series tour after cancelling a string of shows in January. Their February 11th show has undergone a change as Yuto Nakashima is now sidelined. He suffered a ‘blow to the head’ on February 7th at the Korakuen Hall event, so he is off all NJPW shows through the 13th.

NJPW also provided an update on the status of Jeff Cobb. Over the weekend, Cobb appeared on The Wrstling Podcast and shared that he’s been dealing with a pulled muscle.

Cobb has not wrestled since night two of Wrestle Kingdom 16. NJPW noted that during that match against Tetsuya Naito at Wrestle Kingdom, Cobb sustained a left patellar tendon tear and a muscle strain in his left leg.

As a result, Cobb will not be joining the Golden Series tour. Jeff was scheduled to team with United Empire member Great-O-Khan at points on the tour, but O-Khan will be in singles matches for the remainder of the shows.
