Reigns defeated Jey Uso in the main event of the Clash of Champions pay-per-view. The conclusion of their match saw Jimmy Uso’s return to WWE programming after suffering a knee injury at WrestleMania 36. Jimmy threw in the towel for Jey who was being beaten down by Reigns.

As of this writing, here’s the lineup for Hell In A Cell:

  • WWE Universal Championship — Hell In A Cell ‘I Quit’ Match: Roman Reigns (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Jey Uso
  • WWE Championship — Hell In A Cell Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton

This reeks of a Hell in a Cell stipulation that needs a match rather than a match that needs a Hell in a Cell stipulation i.e. ass backward booking.
