During the summer of 2020, independent talent John Skyler competed on AEW Dark in a tag match that featured himself and Brady Pierce against Stu Grayson and Evil Uno of Dark Order. Skyler suffered tears in his ACL, MCL and PCL in his right knee. Skyler, real name John Brumbaugh took to his personal Facebook page and opened up about the injury.

Today, he provided an update on his recovery and shared that he’s cleared to return to in-ring competition. Skyler will be in action on January 31st for Lariato Pro Wrestling where he’ll be taking on Eric Young for LPW Heavyweight Championship.

Skyler worked two other matches on AEW Dark before his injury.

The most recent episode of AEW Dark was covered on upNXT’s ‘Shot In The Dark’ show and that can be found at this link.

Great to hear. Skyler has remained in the crowd of ringside extras since his injuries, so I hope this means he’ll be able to wrestle for them again.
