The match card for WWE Worlds Collide on January 25th is shaping up as a clash between two mainstay tag teams from NXT and NXT U.K. has been added to the card. At Worlds Collide, former NXT Tag Team Champions Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will reunite to take on fellow former NXT Tag Team Champions Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate).

This match came about when Johnny Gargano saved Tommaso Ciampa from a beat down from the Undisputed ERA. As that save was on-going, Trent Seven tweeted out that he sees Gargano and Ciampa are mates again and wondered if they’d like to take on him and Tyler. Gargano and Ciampa accepted and the match was made official and will take place inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

See @JohnnyGargano and @NXTCiampa are mates again @Tyler_Bate

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could stay mates long enough to fight us?

Moustache Mountain vs #DIY?

What do you say @RealKingRegal? Possibly #WorldsCollide?

Just two weeks after WWE Worlds Collide, Johnny Gargano will be in another marquee match at NXT TakeOver: Portland where he’ll be taking on Finn Balor. Below is the updated match card for WWE Worlds Collide:

** Imperium (WALTER, Marcel Barthel, Alexander Wolfe & Fabian Aichner) vs. Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish)

** NXT Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Toni Storm

** Finn Balor versus Ilja Dragunov

** NXT Cruiserweight Championship — Fatal 4-Way Match: Angel Garza (c) vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. TBA (NXT U.K.) vs. TBA (NXT U.K.)

** Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa vs. Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven)

Pretty surprised that the Dusty Classic final isn’t getting the Cruiserweight spot on this card, but I guess it works as a strong launching point for the winner to get a couple weeks build to Portland on the NXT after Rumble weekend.

Wonder when they’re filming NXT UK’s next two episodes (assuming that’s why Nigel was missing) since they pretty much have to get those two spots filled immediately. Assuming those two spots are being saved for Banks and Dar, both of who could really use a big spot to work on. All 5 of those matches have a chance at being incredible.
