Jon Moxley has been reigning as IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion for well over a year and his next title defense is set. It was announced that Moxley is putting his title on the line on the 5/12 installment of Dynamite against former two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yuji Nagata.

Moxley issued the challenge to Nagata in early April, Nagata responded and they are now set to go one-on-one.

Nagata was a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Road to Sakura Genesis tour in late March and that was the last time he wrestled.

The 5/12 Dynamite will also feature an AEW World Tag Team Title match as The Young Bucks will either defend against S.C.U. (Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels), Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus), Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) or The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster). Those teams are competing in a tag team eliminator match next week.
