Jordan chats Heatwave and WWE-TNA.

This past Sunday, the NXT brand capped off WWE’s weekend of events in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They presented their Heatwave Premium Live Event and one of six matches on the card was Kelani Jordan besting Sol Ruca to retain the Women’s North American Championship.

While guest appearing on Busted Open, Jordan reflected on the match and said the atmosphere was ‘electric.’

Well first, when we (myself & Sol Ruca) came out, I felt like the Toronto fans gave us a very warm welcome. They were clapping and cheering before we even locked up, so that was super cool but also, during the match, being able to hear them say, ‘NXT!’ Or, ‘This is awesome!’ I’m like, oh my gosh. Then, I even was like, this is crazy. I never truly experienced that and it was literally electric… Right when we got back through the curtain, I was like, ‘I wanna do it again. I wanna go back out there.’

The crossover between WWE and TNA Wrestling continued to be on display on the 7/9 NXT. The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) reunited and Joe Hendry teamed with Trick Williams in the show’s main event. Kelani shared her thoughts about the crossover.

It is cool (Jordan said about WWE-TNA crossover)… Honestly, I love the crossover. It just brings more challengers, more people to wrestle, more people to work so, I mean everyone here seems to be happy and loving it. But even last night when Joe Hendry was here, everyone was super excited to see him again. Yes (they believe in Hendry).

Jordan was not present on the 7/9 show. A tweet was sent out from Full Sail University and they noted that they filmed content with Jordan and Trick Williams.
