I really hope that after this match that main event plunder matches with Moxley become a thing of the past. I really hoped that with Omega as champion we would be able to see a higher level of main events in AEW especially with how good that roster is.

Have to be honest - I was going to buy this PPV but I have zero desire to see something like this so I think I won’t. Had it just been a straight match or even something like an I quit or LMS I would have been all over it.

This just seems over gimmicked and crazy for no reason

One of the reasons I do not like AEW that much.

See I don’t have an issue with AEW as a whole, as overall I think they have done a great job. IMO, their two glaring weaknesses have been their women’s division and their men’s singles division main events. I hoped with Omega as champ we could begin to get main events at the same level as the rest of the card, that’s why I’m a bit disappointed with what they are doing here. Hopefully Omega wins (I have to think he does) and Moxley goes down to the mid card where he is better suited to be.

And it’s not about the matches cause they had some great matches recently. It’s about developing characters.

Concur.

At least for me, I’d much prefer a regular match with a reasonable (according to story-line) stipulation, with Don Callis doing yet another screw-job against Moxley would have been just fine by me.

See I think this makes sense story-wise.

Mox beat Omega in the lights out match at Full Gear, Omega won the straight up match (via nefarious means) and this is the rubber match. Omega wants to try and prove he can beat Moxley at his own game.

To make people want to pay the $50 for PPV I think they need to deliver big and unique matches. The buzz on this match and the show is huge so I think they’ve done their job

Agreed.

For a concluding chapter of a series of matches that has stretched over a year and a half, this seems like the ultimate blow-off.

Plus, probably one of the few times this could be done - thanks to the absence of fans.

I get it from a booking perspective, I won’t argue that it’s bad booking, I just have no desire to actually watch it. Reminds me of Kane vs Bryan a few years back after Bryan won the title at WM30. It made sense to have him feud with Kane, but I had zero desire to watch it.

I think this match intriguing you will all come down to if you are a fan of Moxleys style. If you are, you will likely be excited, if you’re not, you probably will not be interested.
