The 27-year-old has spent the vast bulk of his career with DDT Pro Wrestling, having begun training with the promotion in 2011.

He made his debut appearance for AEW in the company’s only non-televised live event to date, ‘The House Always Wins’, which took place in April 2021.

Since then, he has impressed fans in 2022 in AEW televised matches with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Hangman Page, and Eddie Kingston.

He recently returned to the United States after spending much of August and September in Japan with DDT Pro Wrestling.

A really good wrestler, and I think he said during the Zero Hour pre-show that he’s moved to the U.S., so a positive all around for AEW.

(In one year) I want Takeshita to be that guy where if he was placed in the AEW World title mix, it wouldn’t feel out of place because he has (and should) been built like one of the top babyface in that company. Takeshita has a built story from his excursion month’s back and if told properly he can be a great new fresh face in their main event scene.

Though If he’s another signing where he’s fighting for the Pure Title on Rampage within a years time, then that would make me very sad.
