The ending to the 2017 men’s Survivor Series 5-on-5 match discussed by Kurt Angle.

Headlining the 2017 WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view was a Team Raw versus Team SmackDown five-on-five elimination tag.

Team Raw consisted of Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Triple H, Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. On SmackDown’s team was Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura. The ending of the match saw Triple H turn on Kurt Angle to get him eliminated. Triple H then pinned Shane McMahon to win the match, leaving himself and Strowman as the sole survivors.

Kurt Angle discussed the finish of the match on his podcast and feels it came off like no one else mattered but Triple H. He also felt Strowman did not come off well. Angle added that it did make sense for Levesque to turn on him because they were building to the mixed tag at WrestleMania 34

Yes [2017 men’s Survivor Series match turned into the ‘Triple H’ show] and I didn’t agree with that, especially making Braun [Strowman] look like a complete asshole. I’m not sure what they were trying to accomplish at that point. I know that Triple H wanted to get the win, I understand that but the way they did that just made it look like, you know, nobody else mattered but Triple H and that’s not what you wanna do with talent that you’re building.

They could have done it a different way [build to Angle & HHH being mixed tag at WrestleMania 34]. I just don’t think they should’ve let Braun Strowman hang there high and dry.

It was a decent match. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t awesome, it was just a good match. It’s not gonna be memorable, nobody’s gonna remember this years from now. It was just a decent match. Nobody was excited, nobody was high-fiving each other. It was just handshake, good match.

It was used to help build the match [with] Ronda [Rousey], myself and Triple H and Stephanie [McMahon] so, I understand why they planted the seed. I just don’t agree with what they did with Braun there. I understand him giving me the Pedigree, screwing me over and screw me over with the win against Shane [McMahon], that made sense but the thing with Braun Strowman of him hanging there high and dry just made him look like an idiot.

The 2022 Survivor Series was headlined by The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso & Solo Sikoa) emerging victorious from WarGames by defeating Kevin Owens, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Butch & Ridge Holland.

Tale as old as time…lay out the “here’s why I should go over right now…” in a way that makes logical sense, and keep doing that to perpetually kick the can down the road on returning the favors (or in this case, have your wife tap out instead).

The Hulkster would be proud.

This is one of the main reasons why I have lost interest in WWE these last few years. Whenever there is a big event it becomes all about one of the McMahons or Triple H. They all conveniently come back to TV in time for Wrestlemania in order to steal the spotlight from everyone else.

What is even worse are the useless celebrities like Bad Bunny and Logan Paul. I have no desire at all to see them wrestle. They just make me not watch WWE.

I also hate the boring rematches at the big events. How many times do we need Lesnar Vs Reigns? We need fresh and exciting matches headlining the big events.

Yeah I agree.
I don’t have any issue with sticking a bad bunny in a rumble for a cool spot and keep your interest in a long match but to be on the biggest stage of all is just a bit of a joke.

A lot of people don’t seem to like the inclusion of “Random Japanese Wrestlers” in AEW right now and while I agree it may be done slightly too often I think we may appreciate it in 5 years time when we haven’t watched John Moxley Vs Jericho for the 89th time.

I have really tried to watch WWE recently but I see The Miz or Ray Mysterious against anyone and it just feel “meh” coz I’m sure I’ve heard John and Wai talk about the exact match many times before. Even newer wrestlers like Nikki Ash seems to have met everyone on the roster so what can they do other then changing the colour of her cape and changing her hair style….I can’t care
