Archer is gearing up for the All-Star Scramble bout.
For four years, Lance Archer has been signed to All Elite Wrestling. During his run, Archer has won the men’s Casino Battle Royale and scored a win over Jon Moxley on Dynamite to become IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion.
While speaking to WrestlePurists, Archer was asked how much longer he has left on his deal with AEW and he responded with the following:
I mean, there could be some renegotiations pretty soon (for my AEW deal) but, everything’s good right now.
Archer is scheduled to compete at AEW Revolution in an eight-man All-Star Scramble. The pay-per-view is going to feature Sting’s final match and Archer mentioned that he tried to get match with Sting while they were in TNA. He’s glad they got to share the ring in AEW in a six-man tag.
Then fast forward to, you know, not that long ago, we got to do the six-man match against him (Sting) and I tried to have a match with him back in TNA. It didn’t happen. Fast forward to AEW, I didn’t never think it was gonna happen and even though it was just a six-man, I got to have a moment with him on the end of his journey and then now, being a part of the pay-per-view which will be subsequently his last match in the business, it’ll be an honor to be around that, see that and kind of say goodbye to him in the business.
Joining Archer in the All-Star Scramble are Chris Jericho, Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, HOOK, Brian Cage, Magnus and Dante Martin. The winner will secure themselves a shot at the AEW World Championship.
