Despite the end of the World Series, AEW Rampage fell in its viewership figures this past Friday, although still finishing fifth among cable originals.

Last week’s edition of Rampage went against the World Series that averaged 11.2 million viewers with Rampage generating 626,000 viewers and 320,000 in 18-49.

This week, Rampage fell 4 percent in viewership and 8 percent in 18-49 with 599,000 viewers and 293,000 (0.22) in 18-49 for the November 5th live episode from St. Louis, Missouri, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The key sports competition for Rampage was the NBA game between New Orleans and Golden State that began at the same time on ESPN and topped the cable charts with 1,603,000 viewers and 0.49 in 18-49. Rampage trailed both NBA games that night, Love After Lockup and The Five on Fox News.

Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was also down from the week prior, which featured competition from the World Series.

In the month of October, Rampage averaged 571,000 viewers and 0.23 in the 18-49 demo over five episodes, so this week’s episode was above its five-week average in viewers but just below in the key demo.

The live edition of Rampage was advertised around Adam Cole vs. John Silver and a Face-to-Face confrontation between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston and the key aspects of the show.

The 12-34 audience was down appreciably with a 35 percent drop among males in the demo and down 33 percent with females, according to Showbuzz Daily.

Rampage also saw a decrease of 23.5 percent in Adults 18-34.

The 18-49 demo was very interesting as females in the demo dropped 27 percent this week while males were unchanged averaging 223,000 viewers last week and this past Friday.

The 18-49 number this week would rank as the third-lowest in the history of Rampage and would be their fourth-lowest overall viewership.

This week’s episode of Rampage will be another live episode with the show taking place from the Target Center in Minneapolis on the eve of the Full Gear pay-per-view from the same arena.
