Paul speaks about the spot with Ricochet.

Coming out of the 2023 men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match with the briefcase was Judgment Day’s Damian Priest. He was in the match with L.A. Knight, Ricochet, Logan Paul, Santos Escobar, Shinsuke Nakamura and Butch.

There was a point in the match when both Paul and Ricochet were on opposite sides of a ladder and were pushed off. They intended to land on the top rope and springboard off into tables on the outside. They slipped and had to gather their footing before going straight into the tables from the second rope.

Logan took to his IMPAULSIVE podcast and talked about the spot. Paul stated that he is not injured and confirmed they were going for a Spanish Fly. He mentioned the backstage scuffle between himself and Ricochet that aired on the 7/3 Raw and called Ricochet unprofessional.

You saw, there was a botched move (in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match). There was a botched move with a dangerous landing. I walked away this time relatively unscathed. I got some scrapes and bruises but no major tweaks or pulls but, Ricochet and I were supposed to do what’s called a Spanish Fly off the top rope so one of our legs is on the rope, one of our legs is on the ladder and we were supposed to hit it at the same time and when he hit that rope, it was before me so he moved it so I slipped down all the way to the bottom. Keep in mind, I’m a noob. I don’t really know what I’m doing out there so when stuff goes wrong, I don’t really know how to improv. So in my head I’m like, how is this guy — this is f*cked. We f*cked this up. How is this guy gonna do this? Is he even gonna do this? Our legs are all twisted up like this. I’m looking at him, I’m like, oh, this motherf*cker is still trying to send this sh*t. I’m not even ready. His feet aren’t even planted. Off the second rope, just hawks a backflip. I’m like, alright! Went crashing through the tables, scraped my shoulder, I hit my head on the thing. I’m fine, no concussions or anything but, it’s just a wild sport man. I don’t know what I’m doing.

I’m gonna be honest, he blew the f*cking match for me. That’s why we got into it backstage. I got into a little tussle with him. I don’t know bro, I felt like he was a little unprofessional.

Ricochet has called out Logan to meet him face-to-face in the ring on the 7/10 Monday Night Raw in Buffalo, New York.

Now he’s admitted he doesn’t know what he’s doing how can he continue?
If he got injured wouldn’t WWE be in a lot of trouble?
You’ve gotta think this guy wouldn’t think twice about suing them if something did go wrong.

He has to learn that this is part of the game unless he is using it for the storyline.

As soon as I saw he said ricochet was unprofessional, angle alert went off in my head. I think he’s trying to work the internet audience.

I think it’s all a work anyways, but I have to imagine performers can’t sue for injury in the ring, as if they could I’m sure we would have seen a million lawsuits by now. Anyone could say they weren’t properly trained to do a spot, WWEs contracts are known for being very detail oriented.

“Gotta work the marks, brother.”

Even if 100% of Paul’s comments are true, it’s either already part of the storyline or will be by next Monday.
