MJF will defend his AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Adam Cole at Wembley Stadium.
It is the only match so far confirmed for the All In pay-per-view in London on August 27th.
The title match was set after MJF came out to cut a mostly sympathetic promo about how being bullied when he was younger had made him reject and stab people in the back.
He then asked Adam Cole to come out to the ring. Cole thanked MJF for sharing his story, and said he had been a jerk at times too.
"I've come to the conclusion. You don't deserve a match" â MJF
I agree with you 95% of the time, but this take I couldnât be more on the other end of the spectrum.
Roman vs Jey is a culmination of a 3 year storyline where they havenât wrestled outside of one tag match since the fall of 2020. I never go to wrestling shows, but the idea of this being the main event prompted me to buy tickets for the first time since the pandemic, and only the second time since in the past decade. The buzz here locally is insane (I live in Windsor but I listen to all Detroit radio), and obviously WWE Smackdown ratings are doing great right now so I dont think Iâm in the minority.
Now donât get me wrong, I love Cole and MJF and have said many times that Cole is the best wrestler in the world (he is), and Iâm pumped for that main event as well but I dont think its even close to being at the level of Roman/Jey.
With that, just my opinion and I realize its subjective. Iâm not ârightâ or âwrongâ, just how I feel about the main event.
I know you mentioned in the 75% thread you didnt love this part of the bloodline storyâŚwhat dont you like? You donât take Jey seriously? You donât care for Jeyâs performance? If memory serves me right you were into Roman/Cody and Roman/Sami, so I assume you lack of interest falls on Jey Uso.
