But Nate the great was damn good journeyman who didn’t reach his full potential in the UFC but he does have two of my favorite combos in MMA.

He was a great fighter and a class act, nothing but respect for Nate, I give his career a 6 out of 10. After Anderson Silva failed multiple steroid tests, you have to wonder if Nate could have beaten him for the title if Silva was clean. At the time I think Nate was the best middleweight in the world next to Silva, but Silva was not a fighter than relied on strength as much as he did speed and precision so perhaps he still would have beaten Nate if he was clean. And to be fair maybe Silva was clean and only got on the gas later in his career. Either way, best wishes to Nate in his retirement, he was one of my favourites.
