New Japan Pro Wrestling crowned its new NEVER Openweight Six-Man tag champions on Sunday’s Summer Struggle tour event at Korakuen Hall.

The finals of the tournament featured all members of CHAOS with Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi defeating Kazuchika Okada, SHO & Toru Yano becoming the new champions.

They promoted that it was Yoshi-Hashi’s first championship after 12 years with the company.

The six-man tag titles were vacated following EVIL’s defection to The Bullet Club and stating he wouldn’t defend the titles. EVIL had held the championships with Shingo Takagi and Bushi, which they won on January 5th at the Tokyo Dome on the second night of Wrestle Kingdom.

*Sanada & Shingo Takagi over Minoru Suzuki & Douki
*Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Master Wato over Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru
*EVIL & Taiji Ishimori over Tetsuya Naito & Bushi by DQ following run-ins by The Bullet Club followed by Hiromu Takahashi
