The major news coming out of Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live is that Shane McMahon is currently scheduled to wrestle at WrestleMania.

Daniel Bryan set up the tag match for WrestleMania where he will team with McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn with the stipulation that if Owens and Zayn win, they are re-hired on SmackDown Live.

The news of McMahon’s involvement at WrestleMania came just one day after it was reported by the WWE that McMahon had been hospitalized due to acute diverticulitis and would require surgery for an umbilical hernia. On Tuesday’s broadcast, they announced that McMahon had been discharged from the hospital on Tuesday night. They are crediting McMahon’s hernia from the attack by Owens and Zayn.

They have also added Rusev to the United States title match at WrestleMania with champion Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, and Jinder Mahal. Rusev replaced Sunil Singh and teamed with Mahal on Tuesday’s episode and defeated Orton and Roode when Rusev pinned Orton.

There are three new participants that have been added to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal with Dolph Ziggler, Tyler Breeze, and Fandango added to the match.

The final bit of news was the official announcement that The Usos will defend the SmackDown tag titles against The Bludgeon Brothers and New Day at WrestleMania.

The latest additions bring the match total to 13 with one more match expected to be made official between John Cena and The Undertaker.
