A new Million Dollar Champion has been crowned.

Kicking off NXT TakeOver 36 was L.A. Knight defending the Million Dollar Championship against Cameron Grimes. The stipulation going into the match was that if Knight won, Ted DiBiase would have to become his new butler. DiBiase was in Grimes’ corner for the match and assisted him to becoming champion.

While Knight was on the outside, DiBiase struck him with a right hand and when the referee became distracted again, DiBiase locked in the ‘Million Dollar Dream’ submission onto Knight. This led to Grimes hitting the ‘Cave In’ to become the new Million Dollar Champion.

This is Grimes’ first title win in WWE. He made it to the finals of the Breakout tournament in 2019. The 2021 Breakout tournament final takes place on this week’s NXT as Odyssey Jones meets Carmelo Hayes.
