New Japan Pro Wrestling has officially announced three matches for Wrestle Kingdom 15 taking place at the Tokyo Dome on January 4 & 5, 2021.

As outlined at the Wrestle Kingdom press conference, Tetsuya Naito will defend the Double Championship against Kota Ibushi on January 4th despite Ibushi losing the briefcase for the guaranteed title shot to Jay White at Power Struggle. Naito chose to face Ibushi while Jay White has opted to take the night off.

White will challenge the winner of Naito vs. Ibushi on January 5th for the Double Championship after beating Ibushi for the briefcase in Osaka on Saturday.

The third match confirmed is a rematch between Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay, which will take place on the first night on January 4th.

The two met in October at Sumo Hall on the final night of the A Block matches in the G1 Climax. The match saw Ospreay pin Okada with the Storm Breaker after Okada was attacked by The Great O’Khan and hit with the Eliminator. This angle resulted in Ospreay defecting from CHAOS and forming The Empire with O’Khan and Bea Priestley.

At Power Struggle on Saturday, Okada defeated The Great O’Khan and was challenged by Ospreay after their match with Okada accepting the match. Ospreay said he would end Okada’s career at Wrestle Kingdom.
