Monday’s show in Kochi saw Lance Archer & Alex Zayne drop their second match of the tournament, losing to Yota Tsuji & Zandokan Jr after Tsuji hi the Gene Blaster and pinned Zayne.

The loss puts Archer & Zayne at 4-2 with eight points but are still tied for first place and eligible to win the Tag League.

They are tied with El Phantasmo & Hikuleo and Taichi & Yuya Uemura, who had mixed results on Monday.

The STRONG Openweight tag champions El Phantasmo & Hikuleo defeated Soberano Jr. & Atlantis Jr. after Hikuelo delivered the Godsend choke slam to Soberano Jr. followed by a Thunderkiss ’86 by ELP off the shoulders of his partner for the win.

Taichi & Yuya Umeura were upset by Jack Bonza & Bad Luck Fale when Bonza took out Taichi with a driver followed by Fale hitting the Bad Luck Fall and pinning Uemura.

IWGP tag champions Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI left Monday’s show with seven points after defeating Minoru Suzuki & Yuji Nagata. After a dual PK and exploder were delivered to Goto, the co-holder of the titles came back and used the Goto-Ishiki to pin Nagata, who had been stunned by a superkick from YOSHI-HASHI.

Essentially, the block is down to the winners of the top two matches advancing.

The top teams of each block will advance to Friday’s semi-final with the finals taking place this Sunday.
