New Japan’s World Tag League continued with a show on Thursday with four B Block matches.

The Mito Citizen Gymnasium in Ibaraki hosted the ongoing Tag League with three teams tied for first place by the show’s conclusion.

In the main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Jado earned their first points of the tourney by defeating Taichi & Taka Michinou after Tanahashi pinned Michinoku following the High Fly Flow. Both teams left the show with two points and are tied at the bottom of the block with just over one week remaining.

EVIL & Ren Narita beat former IWGP & STRONG Openweight tag champions Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste after Narita used the Double Cross on Nicholls.

The House of Torture duo move to six points in the block and are in a three-way tie for first place.

IWGP tag champions HENARE & Great O-Khan and Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi joined them in first place, and they were both victorious on Thursday.

The tag champions beat Toru Yano and Oleg Boltin, and the LIJ unit bested The Natural Classics of Tom and Stevie Phillips.

The World Tag League continues on Friday with its fourth consecutive show in as many days with a day off Saturday before entering its final week.

The finals occur on December 8 with the winner earning a shot at the IWGP tag team titles, traditionally at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4. It was revealed earlier this week, that the Young Bucks will challenge the IWGP tag champions on January 5 at Wrestle Dynasty.
