United Empire discuss what matches they want to have and Super Junior Tag League.

The reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions TJP and Francesco Akira are currently competing in NJPW’s Super Junior Tag League tournament. As of this writing, the duo is tied with four teams for the most points.

As the tournament is ongoing, TJP and Akira were the focus of a virtual meet-and-greet that NJPW hosted. They were asked to name some tag teams they would like to face and Akira mentioned that Kenny Omega is coming back to Japan to face United Empire’s Will Ospreay so why not bring The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) over as well to face himself and TJP.

Akira: I mean, Kenny [Omega] is coming to take a lot of beat from [Will] Ospreay so why not bring The Young Bucks also to take a loss from us?

One of the teams that TJP and Akira are tied with in Super Junior Tag League is Ace Austin and Chris Bey. If there was one team they could pick to face in the finals of the tournament, it would be that team.

Akira added that he defeated Ace in Best of the Super Juniors while he was still X Division Champion but IMPACT Wrestling never called for him to come over to the USA. He said if he beats two IMPACT talents, maybe he’ll get the call.

TJP: Well I think we got one of the favorites out of the way as far as the victory… For us, I feel like perhaps the BULLET CLUB team [is who TJP & Akira would like to face in the finals of Super Junior Tag League]. In Super Juniors, Ace Austin was in an opposite block from me so I didn’t get a chance. He [Akira] has unfinished business with Ace Austin and I think in general, United Empire, in my opinion, is catching up to the presence of the BULLET CLUB so I think it would be a statement to start putting them down the ladder a little bit.

Akira: I mean IMPACT never hit me up after I beat their X Division Champion. So if I do it again with two guys, maybe this time, there’s a chance to go to USA.

The Super Junior and World Tag League tour resumes on November 30th. The finals are set for 12/14 in Sendai, Japan
