Aron Stevens vs. Trevor Murdoch

They are promoting this match as Stevens’ ‘swan song’. They start the match in the corner, with Murdoch landing a big slap before they lock up against the ropes. Murdoch hits a shoulder tackle for a one-count until Stevens goes for a couple of pin attempts himself until Murdoch stops him with a big boot. Murdoch stays in control hitting a back body drop and landing forearms until Stevens escapes to the apron, tries to jump off the top rope and gets caught in the turnbuckle as he tries to jump off, looking legit as if his shoelace got caught. Murdoch takes advantage with the offense hitting the spinebuster and his top rope bulldog for the quick win.

Winner: Trevor Murdoch by pinfall at 4:38

After the match, Stevens shows a bit of an injury as the crowd chants ‘Thank you Aron’. He grabs the microphone and says ‘You’re welcome’.

Homicide goes to help PJ Hawx up after the match, but The Fixers run out and attack them both. Luke Hawx runs out for the save, but he ends up getting taken out also. It looks like Wrecking Ball Legursky lied about Jay Bradley’s groin injury. Ricky Morton and Kerry Morton run out and finally take The Fixers out.

Colby Corino comes out and says he wants to cash in his title shot from his Champions Series win.

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship: Homicide (c) vs. Colby Corino

Off to Brazil

May Valentine is backstage with Aron Stevens and asks him what he’s going through right now. Stevens says there is no way anyone can know what he is going through right now as he came so close to winning championship gold and not getting it. Tonight, Trevor Murdoch was the better man and if you chase something long enough and it doesn’t love you back, eventually you have to choose your own life. Stevens says him and Valentine got a ticket to Brazil and he is done with this industry. It’s okay he can’t put the World Title on Killer Kowalski’s grave but this industry has given him other things.

Bestia starts fighting them off, before Williams hits Bestia with a suplex off the top rope followed by a flying headbutt by Smith as Williams gets the pin and the win.

The King

May Valentine is backstage with KiLynn King who says she’s been spending the last couple of years working for an opportunity like this and making people understand why she calls herself ‘The King’. That grind has led her right here to this moment to challenge for the World Women’s Championship. King calls herself the dominant competitor and says she has about an inch over on Kamille and while she’s been focused and training, Kamille went away and got married and that should concern Kamille.

NWA World Women’s Championship: Kamille (c) vs. KiLynn King

Bully Ray replaces Velvet Sky on commentary as this following match is from two graduates of his Team 3D Academy. After the referee goes over the rules, they both choose not to give a handshake. As the bell rings though, Kamille extends her hand just to use it to drive King into her. After a couple of tries, King does the same and starts talking trash to her as Bully Ray says he ‘wonders where they learned how to trash talk like that’. Kamille challenges King to a test of strength, in which they go back and forth on until King hits a monkey flip for a couple one counts. King hits a big forearm and picks Kamille up before trying a Shining Wizard that Kamille dodges before hitting a fall-away slam. King meets Kamille on the outside with a dropkick which sends Kamille into the guard rail. They head back inside where Kamille hits a flying leg drop for a two count.

They go into a forearm exchange before King hits a knee followed by an airplane spin. King ducks Kamille’s slap attempts and hits a swift kick for close two. King dodges Kamille’s spear attempt and hits a suplex for a two count. Kamille gets out of the Excalibuster and hits a power slam for a two. King drops Kamille face first and heads to the top rope where she hits a frog splash for a two count. King rushes towards Kamille but Kamille stops her with the spear and gets the pin for the win.

Winner: Kamille by pinfall at 17:06, to retain

Bully Ray gets in the ring after the match and embraces both women. This match was leaps and bounds, the best match on the show. Max the Impaler runs into the ring to get into Kamille’s face, but security holds them both back.

Dr. Tom Prichard

Kyle Davis introduces Tom Prichard who comes out and says he is so proud of Kenzie Paige winning the World Women’s Tag Team Championship here in her hometown and starts talking about all the talent that came out of Tennessee and is happy that Billy Corgan brought NWA back to Knoxville and has a feeling it won’t be the last time. Prichard thanks everybody for supporting wrestling and the NWA and tells them to enjoy the main event.

Not Alwayz Ready

Matt Cardona comes out in street clothes accompanied by Chelsea Green, Mike Knox and VSK. Cardona says this is not a good time to get injured as it was supposed to be the greatest night of his life. This PPV was named after him and he’s earned it but unfortunately he’s unable to compete. Cardona says he came here for two reasons, to win the ten pounds of gold and to save the NWA. Whether the boys in the back want to admit it or not, that’s exactly what they have done. Cardona says he’s proud of Knox, VSK is the future of the business and Chelsea looking lovely tonight and how everybody should be proud of all of them. They are on top of the wrestling business and everybody knows he’s the Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Cardona said when he won the title it was all shiny, but now it’s scratched and missing some jewels because he takes it all over the world and he is proud to be the champion and has worked 19 years to be a worlds champion. It’s no secret that Nick Aldis doesn’t like him but they are more alike than he thinks as they both need that championship but unfortunately they won’t find out who the better man is tonight. Cardona talks about getting surgery on Tuesday and being out 3 to 5 months and when he woke up from surgery the first thing he thought about was the title and talks about how much he loves and needs it and is upset that he might have to give it up.

Cardona says he calls the shots and it’s up to him, which prompts NWA President William Patrick Corgan to come out. Corgan brings Cardona close for a talk that the microphone doesn’t pick up as it looks like Corgan asks Cardona for the title but Cardona doesn’t want to. As Cardona is contemplating it, Nick Aldis walks out, dressed to wrestle. Aldis gets on the mic and says Cardona isn’t the only one nursing an injury as his back is killing him from carrying this promotion for the last 5 years and says Cardona is a typical Ex-WWE guy parasite and how he slid into NWA and conned his way into a top spot. Aldis says it’s not his belt, it’s the belt of Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race and a symbol of history. There’s a reason why Flair calls him personally and wants him on the card for the Jim Crockett Promotions and why Race gave his final recorded interview talking to him. And there’s a reason why Dory Funk Jr. asked him to present him the lifetime achievement award, as he would have asked Cardona to go get him a hot dog. Aldis said all of Cardona’s demands are a smokescreen that Cardona isn’t a good enough wrestler to be the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and tells Cardona to go nurse himself to 100% and when he is, he can give him a call. Aldis says if anybody is ready, he will wrestle them and send this crowd home happy as Trevor Murdoch makes his way out. Murdoch says he has a rematch clause that he is cashing it in now as Corgan tries to take away the title from Cardona again.

Kamille and Thom Latimer make their way to the ring now and get in Corgan’s face. Kamille says Latimer should be the next heavyweight champion as Latimer talks about how long Corgan has been his boss but from day one he hasn’t thought of him as a main event title and he wouldn’t know talent if it spat him in the face and in about 20 minutes he will walk out of here as the worlds champion. Samuel Shaw now makes his way out to the ring and actually talks saying he wants in on this match. Corgan stills tries to take the title away from Cardona, as Cardona kisses it and reluctantly gives it to Corgan before storming to the back. Corgan points to Aldis, Murdoch, Latimer and Shaw and makes a fatal four-way match for the vacant championship.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship: Nick Aldis vs. Trevor Murdoch vs. Thom Latimer vs. Samuel Shaw

As the bell rings, all four start brawling with each other taking it to the outside. Murdoch tosses Latimer over the barricade as they start brawling into the crowd, with Murdoch clotheslining Latimer into the chairs. Shaw and Aldis follow them into the crowd. They all continue to fight in the audience before Aldis tosses Shaw back ringside until Aldis tosses Shaw back over the guardrail on the other side where they head all the way to the back wall and Aldis slams Shaw repeatedly into it. Murdoch starts pulling Latimer into the steel post as Shaw takes control of Aldis. All four continue to brawl ring side until Shaw and Aldis finally make it back inside the ring where Aldis hits a Thesz Press. Latimer joins them and starts going after Aldis. Latimer and Shaw have a staredown before they start working together on Aldis. Murdoch gets in the ring and joins in on a three on one attack on Aldis, as Murdoch hits a big splash in the corner and goes for the cover that Latimer and Shaw break up right away and that alliance quickly comes to an end. Shaw rushes Aldis and gets tossed over the top to the outside as Aldis suplexes Murdoch for a two count. We get a short Strictly Business reunion but that doesn’t last long as Aldis and Latimer then start going at it. Murdoch tries a top rope bulldog on Shaw, but he stops him and joins him on the top, before getting pushed off. Aldis and Latimer stop Murdoch, but he pushes them off and hits a cross body to the other three on the outside.

As Murdoch tries to get up, he starts limping a little as commentary mentions how it could be his knee. Aldis and Latimer roll into the ring where Latimer hits a spear for the pin, but Shaw pulls the referee out on two. Shaw goes under the ring as Latimer goes after him but can’t find him. Instead, Latimer goes to the top rope, but Aldis meets him up there. Murdoch joins in and hits a Tower of Doom, covering Aldis who kicks out at two. Shaw appears and tosses Murdoch into the guardrail before going inside and attacks Aldis and Latimer, hitting them both with running bulldogs, belly-to-back suplexes and leg drops. Shaw goes to the top rope, but Murdoch tries to stop him. Shaw punches him off and goes for the flying leg drop, but Latimer moves out of the way. Murdoch hits Shaw with a sit-out powerbomb for a two-count, followed by Latimer hitting Murdoch with a top rope moonsault for a one-count. Aldis puts the figure four on Murdoch, but Latimer and Shaw break it up with top rope knee drops. Latimer hits an implant DDT on Aldis, but Shaw takes Latimer out with a superkick before trying one on Aldis, who blocks it and hits a stunner. Murdoch goes up top for the bulldog, but his foot gets caught the same way it did earlier in his match with Aron Stevens. Latimer takes advantage and hits a sit-out powerbomb for a two before Shaw puts the Silence on Latimer but Aldis breaks it up with an elbow drop. Aldis hits a Tombstone on Shaw, but he kicks out at two. Aldis puts the cloverleaf on Murdoch, but Latimer breaks it up before getting back body dropped to the outside. Aldis sends Shaw to the outside as Murdoch hits the top rope bulldog on Aldis and gets the pin and the win.

Winner: Trevor Murdoch by pinfall at 18:10, to become NEW NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion

Murdoch cuts the music off and says he told everybody what he was going to do and he did that shit. He doesn’t care what you look like, if you want something bad enough, you go get it. Corgan and Bully Ray shake Murdoch’s hand on his way to the back as the show comes to an end.
