Scheduled for the September 20th episode of NXT 2.0 is Tyler Bate taking on J.D. McDonagh. The winner of that match is going to be the new #1 contender to Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship.

The opening match of the program was The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) challenging Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) for the NXT Tag Team Championships in a Steel Cage match. Damon Kemp cost Julius and Brutus the match. He climbed the cage and while throwing punches with Julius, he tied Julius’ right hand to the cage.

Quincy Elliot made his NXT 2.0 in-ring debut. He scored a win over Sean Gallagher in singles competition.

Joe Gacy continued trying to get Cameron Grimes to align with The Schism (Gacy, Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid). Grimes opted to take on Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo in a Handicap match.
