The final episode of NXT 2.0 of the year saw a big increase with the show’s best figures since Halloween Havoc.

The December 28th edition of the show averaged 662,000 viewers and approximately 211,000 (0.16) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It was a giant increase of 42.5 percent in the 18-49 demo from last week’s 148,000 viewers with overall viewership displaying a 12 percent increase.

Males 18-49 grew 55 percent this week while adults 18-34 improved by 52 percent and adults 35-49 increased by 38 percent.

NXT 2.0 finished #15 among cable originals for the day including several college football games on ESPN. NXT went against the big game between Mississippi State and Texas Tech that topped cable with 3,916,000 viewers and 0.90 in 18-49.

It was the show’s best number since October 26th, which was the Halloween Havoc special.

Tuesday’s program featured several match-up changes due to talent being unavailable and ended with the main event of Raquel Gonzalez & Cora Jade defeating Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray to keep their spots in the NXT women’s title triple threat match with Mandy Rose next week.

There were appearances by Riddle and AJ Styles by video with both Raw performers set to appear on next Tuesday’s New Year’s Evil special.

The show was aided by an appearance by Grayson Waller the night prior on Raw in Detroit, Michigan.
