The next NXT 2.0 special is expected to take place on Sunday, December 5th with an official announcement forthcoming.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics first reported the date late Monday night and would signal the first Sunday night special since the NXT 2.0 rebrand that went into effect this past September.

Tentative date for the first NXT 2.0 Takeover is Sunday, December 5, according to multiple sources. Have asked but couldn’t confirm if “Takeover” will continue to be the brand name.

It is unknown if the event will be billed as a TakeOver event. There has not been an event branded under that name since August during the prior iteration of NXT.

NXT 2.0 is coming off its Halloween Havoc special last Tuesday, which featured Tommaso Ciampa retaining the NXT Championship against Bron Breakker along with several titles changes including Mandy Rose becoming NXT Women’s Champion, Gigi Dolin & Jacey Jayne winning the women’s tag team championship in a ladder match, and Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel defeating MSK to become tag champions.

A new episode of NXT 2.0 airs Tuesday night on the USA Network with the following matches and segments advertised:
*Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams vs. Johnny Gargano & Dexter Lumis
*Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner vs. Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza
*Cameron Grimes enters Duke Hudson’s Poker Room
*Tony D’Angelo appears on Lashing Out with Lash Legend
*Robert Stone has issued a challenge to Xyon Quinn
