The post-Deadline edition of NXT saw a rise in viewership, although a significant loss among its 18-34 audience.

The December 12 episode averaged 678,000 viewers and 236,000 (0.18) in the 18-49 demographic – an increase of 8% in overall viewers and a decrease of 6% in the key demo from last week’s episode, per Wrestlenomics.

The show finished fourth among sports programs on cable including two NBA games. NXT aired against the L.A. Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks, which averaged 1,504,000 viewers and 0.52 in the demo on TNT, per Sports Media Watch.

In the 18-49 demographic, NXT’s male viewership dropped 9% to 149,000 and females fell 2% to 87,000 from last week.

The demo hit hardest this week was 18-34, which fell 36% to 79,000 viewers and NXT’s lowest performance in that demo since July 11. The reason for the drop was males decreased from 81,000 to 44,000 this week while females only fell from 43,000 to 35,000.

Adults 35-54 posted a gain of 23% to 157,000 with males increasing from 81,000 to 105,000 this week and women up by 13%.

In Canada, NXT averaged approximately 69,000 viewers and 34,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360 and didn’t rank among the top ten sports programs on Tuesday. Last week’s figures were 86,000 viewers and 18,000 in the demo.

The show followed Deadline and included a closing segment involving Ilja Dragunov, Trick Williams, and Carmelo Hayes and the start of the Men’s Breakout Tournament.
