Tuesday’s taped edition of NXT saw a marginal gain as the show finished with its second-highest viewership since May of this year.

The August 31st edition of the show from the Capitol Wrestling Center averaged 717,000 viewers and 217,000 (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic on the USA Network, per Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

The numbers were up 4.5 percent in viewers and 5.9 percent in 18-49 from last week, which was also a taped episode.

The show finished 23rd for the night among cable programming, which was dominated by Fox News programming and an episode of Deadliest Catch on Discovery.

It was NXT’s best viewership since the August 10th episode and second highest since May 4th.

In Canada, NXT finished with 64,000 viewers on Sportsnet 360 outside of the top ten sports broadcasts for the night. The top sports broadcast on Tuesday was the women’s hockey gold medal game between Canada and the U.S. that went into overtime followed by the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles.
