NXT sees a small decrease, MLW improves on REELZ

NXT saw a drop in its numbers this past Tuesday while MLW experienced an increase for its third week on REELZ.

The February 21st edition of NXT averaged 589,000 viewers and approximately 179,000 (0.14) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The show ranked #16 among cable originals with an eight percent drop in viewership and an 11 percent decline in the key demo from last week.

In the 18-49 demo, the female audience was down by 12 percent and males fell by eight percent.

A significant decline was seen among adults 18-34 fell by 38 percent this week to its lowest audience in the demo after hitting its highest number of the year last week. This week’s 18-34 audience was still higher than most episodes from 2023.

Adults 35-49 saw an 18 percent increase this week and was most prominent in the demo in the past three weeks. The male grew by three percent, but women increased by 42 percent, and the most significant female audience in the demo since New Year’s Evil on January 4th.

In Canada, NXT averaged approximately 58,000 viewers and 28,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. It was the lowest overall viewership of the year for NXT and down from last week’s numbers of 86,000 and 45,000 respectively.

For its third week on REELZ, MLW averaged 82,500 viewers and 0.03 in the demo for its 10-Midnight ET time slot, and 45,500 and 0.02 for the west coast airing. (Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily)

The new episode that aired from 10-11 p.m. ET averaged 97,000 and 0.03 and 42,000 and 0.02 on the west coast compared with last week’s numbers in those slots averaged 73,000 and 0.02 and 6,000 and 0.00 for the episodes.

MLW ranked #117 and #122 among cable originals for the east coast airings of the programs this week.
