Cole and McAfee are back as a duo.

Kicking off the 1/29 Monday Night Raw was an appearance from Pat McAfee. McAfee returned to WWE commentary at the Royal Rumble alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves. McAfee entered the men’s Rumble but chose to eliminate himself.

While sitting alongside Cole on Raw, it was announced that Cole and McAfee are going to be the new voices of the program.

It was Wade Barrett who had been calling the action alongside Cole.

McAfee and Cole commentated Friday Night SmackDown before McAfee stepped away due to his commitments outside of the pro wrestling space.

Horrible. McAfee is atrocious. Barrett was perfectly fine. Huge downgrade IMO

I’m surprised they got him, he really has built himself into a mega star. Watched the Rumble with some casuals, and they probably popped for him for then anyone else on the show.

I always liked the chemistry between him Cole.

Was enjoying Barrett, but Pat is a bigger mainstream star so it makes sense. Plus I enjoy Pat and Cole’s dynamic.

Ya thats the one down side, I liked Barrett quite a bit as well. I wonder if they would try Cory and Wade on SD??? Could be horrible with no traditional play by play guy, but Id like to see it.

they are actual BFF

I watched the first show and it did feel weird hearing Graves do play-by-play in a ‘heel’ voice, with Barrett chiming in with heel colour commentary quips.

Willing to give it a go though as I wasn’t a fan of the Irish guy at all.
