9/1/18 - Christopher Daniels is wrestling Stephen Amell.
That gap is just under 18 months. Does that make a difference?
I’m gonna wait and watch the match before I form an opinion one way or the other. It is Schrödinger’s match: It is both good or horrible at the moment. I won’t know which until observe Takeover.
I mean I have more faith in Amell in ring than Mccaffie. I’m willing to be proven wrong, but way less faith in this being a good match.
The point I was making is Daniels is 50 years old now, so when he did the celebrity match he was like 47-48 years old, so for his career didn’t mater if he wins or loses. But here you’re facing a young wrestler that on top of everything he just lost his World title after more than a year of holding it.
I don’t think you need Scott Steiner to calculate this equation.
There are also differences in situations. Amell won in the WWE, with help and as a face. Cole is the face in this feud, if he then loses to Mcaffie it looks terrible for him.
